Her call name is "Kira." She was bred by Eileen Gregory of the Alaskan Klee Kai Kennelette in Colorado. Kira is a UKC Grand Champion. She has also earned her Master Championship at ARBA.

Kira was born December 12, 2003. She is two months old is this photo. Notice her buff colored fur. This darkens over time to the color you see in more recent photos. She is a Standard, gray and white, double blue-eyed female.
Kira is an easy-going, sweet tempered girl. She has her moments of extreme excitement and energy . . . and then it's over! She loves to hang out with me as I watch TV or work on the computer and to go running with our friend Russell (2-3 miles at a time!)

Kira was shipped to me when she was 4 months old in April 2003. She came from a large kennel so she needed a lot of extra socialization. Kira has always been very sweet and mellow. She just needed more confidence and exposure, which we worked on by meeting lots of people.
I think I took a hundred pictures of her first day with me! This is my favorite one. Notice how large her ears look. At this point, she is still growing and the rest of her catches up to those ears. Also look at her mask . . . it definitely fills in as she gets older.

Kira's first show was ARBA's California Classic in May 2005. We had a great time. Since then, we have been to almost every show offered in the Southern California region. It seems she doesn't really care about all her pretty ribbons! Kira earned her UKC Championship in October and her ARBA Championship in November. She earned her Grand Champion in November 2006.
Kira had puppies in May 2007 and they are now all in their new homes. Kira is the mother of the 8th RED Alaskan Klee Kai born! For more information on the breeding and puppies, click here.
